By far our most popular query is whether we are able to retain the original timber frames in situ, and replace old single glazed steel windows. The original timbers and beams can be an integral part and feature of a home, usually made from mature oak, and in most cases we have found the timber frames to be in good condition even if the paint work looks a bit shabby. We find that they can still be retained or even brought back to their former glory.
